DEAR MR. ONE-TERM PRESIDENT: "A FEW CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND...???"

ALOHA HAWAII & MR. ONE TERM PRESIDENT:

DING, DONG, THE WITCH IS DEAD...

MR.ONE TERM PRESIDENT OBAMA WANTS TO ELIMINATE "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND..."

WE WILL CALL IT, "A FEW CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND."

"A FEW CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND" WILL ALLOW MORE ACADEMIC FREEDOM, ADMINISTRATIVE BREATHING ROOM, AND INCREASED HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OUTS.

INCREASED HIGH SCHOOL DROP-OUTS IS NOT A BAD THING.

COLLEGE GRADUATES, MASTER DEGREE GRADUATES, AND PhD GRADUATES ALREADY CANNOT FIND JOBS ANYWAY IN THIS "GREATER DEPRESSION" ENVIRONMENT.

THE MILITARY IS UP-TO-IT'S EARS WITH COLLEGE & HIGHLY QUALIFIED UNEMPLOYED WORKERS.

BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED JOB OPPORTUNIES, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE???

THANK YOU MR. ONE-TERM PRESIDENT.

AND THANKS FOR SPENDING MORE MONEY AND INCREASING OUR TRILLION PLUS DEFICIT.

ALOHA & MAHALO,

Obama Seeks to Replace ‘No Child’ Accountability (Update1) Share Business ExchangeTwitterFacebook| Email | Print | A A A
By Molly Peterson

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The Obama administration will propose a new system for measuring states’ academic progress as part of an overhaul of the 2002 No Child Left Behind law.

The new accountability system would be “built around the goal of helping all students graduate high school college-and career-ready,” the Education Department said today in an e- mailed statement.

The eight-year-old law, enacted under President George W. Bush, requires states to measure student achievement through standardized tests. While states can set their own standards to determine what constitutes an adequate education, they can lose some federal funds if they don’t show “adequate yearly progress’’ toward those goals, according to the law.

The administration wants to revamp the law to “support dramatic improvements in the quality of assessments to measure complex skills and help teachers identify and respond to students’ strengths and needs,” according to President Barack Obama’s budget request, released today, for the fiscal year starting Oct. 1.

Don't blame our President

Blame the Leadership and circus acts in Hawaiis BOE/Legislature. They are to blame for mis-managing funds for our public education system. Our President has given us stimulus funds to assist in our educational system and the question is...how it was spent?...wheres the stimulus funding??? Being a President is the most stressful job. The former Bush admin is the one that you should blame for whats happening right now.

Blame the people in Wall street for screwing us taxpayers. Give our President a chance. there may be times of diagreements etc. but you have to imagine that he has a lot on his plate.
